sorry this is going up so late, but I'd like for you to work on translating those sentences I gave you by email.
1. The poor child couldn’t read.
2. My former dog was smaller than the dog I have now.
3. The old woman is eating a slice of bread.
4. My sweet girlfriend gave me a lot of cake.
5. The tall bearded man succeeds at climbing the mountain.
6. The girl with blond hair is smart but a liar.
7. My first year at the university I took classes in biology, business, and management.
8. I must memorize my verbs!10. I finished writing a paper last week

Really try and think about it, don't just write down a literaly translation and call yourself done. Think about the grammar. This is good practice I think for your redaction that will be on Wednesday. Just the act of translating helps you to start thinking about the language.
