-----here you are completeing the sentence with plus que parfait. You are saying what you had done before the actions givin. In the example: Avant de partir en vacances... they are asking you to say what you had done before you went on vacation. So the example gives Avant de partir en vacances, j'étais déjà allé à la banque (before having left on vaction, I had already gone to the bank)

Also just an update on the days up to the test:
You test is March the 10th. Since we lost a day we might not have time for much review. So it is important that you start working on it so you can ask me questions. I will put stuff on here and send out review sheets. If we do any review it will be Monday. It depends on how long it takes to go through the last couple grammer points of the chapter.
